LONDON DAY TWO

We arrived at the "Eye" around 9:00 A.M., nice and early to avoid the crowds that swarm the Eye every day and as Susan had reserved our tickets the night before we got on the 6th Pod. It's quite a spectacular ride and well worth going on just to get such a good view of London.

A nice view of London looking towards the North Bank.

A view of the Parliament Buildings from the Eye.
This is the Hungerford Foot Bridge across the Thames. This is the bridge that they had to close when it first opened because of the huge amount of people trying to get over it was in danger od collapsing. It comes out at St. Pauls Cathedral.

This picture shows the Crypt of St. Martins in the Fields, which was quite an iomportant Church in Trafalgar Square. The Crypt now holds a restaurant which usually has quite good food but on this day we all ordered a really nice looking Vegetable Salad which was not as good as it looked.
The Interior of St. Martins in the Fields

The Nelson Column in Trafalgar Square. This is the great Horatio who saved England when Napoleon was planning to invade England.
